For the week of Sept 17th-
Parts of the upper Midwest in Minnesota, Iowa Wisconsin received frost. Some corn fields that were on drought ground are hurt. The drought caused leaves below the ear to die and now the frost killed the tops. Up to 10% damage in parts of fields will occur. Soybeans had the top 2 to 5 inches get frosted. Some cases, in low areas, the frost went down to about 8 to 10 inches. Over all there won't be many bushels lost.
Crop ratings continue to be in the above average to excellent area. Harvest will start soon in most areas.
